Dear Gators Families,

I hope everyone is having a great start to their year! As crazy as it sounds, we are only a couple months away from the start of the 2024 Gators season. With that in mind, we wanted to give everyone some exciting updates for the summer ahead. 

Parent Q and A: We will have a parent question and answer session on Monday, March 18th at 6:30pm. This will take place next to the lazy river and we will be answering any questions you have about the upcoming season. 

Kick-Off Day: Our Kick-Off Day will take place on Sunday, April 14th from 2-5pm. Here you will be able to meet the coaches, try-on suits, and purchase spirit wear from prior years. Registration will also open that day. 

Timing System: As you are aware, we did not have a timing system last year, but it was something many parents wanted. We would like to purchase one for this year, but we need your help. We are looking for at least 3 parents who would like to take the lead and be responsible for running the timing system. If we do not have people step-up, we will not be able to purchase one. 

Head Coach: We are excited to announce that Demitry “Dee” Haire will be our head coach this year! Dee works at the club as a swim lessons instructor, personal trainer, and camp swim lessons instructor. We are excited to have Dee on board for the season! 

Practice Schedule: Practices will begin on May 28th. Swimmers who are 11 and older will practice from 4-5pm and swimmers 10 and under will practice 5-6pm. Practices will be offered Monday through Friday. 

Can’t Wait to Get in the Water? If your child cannot wait to get the water, consider signing them up for the SLAM (Swim Like a Mako) Program. The second session of this 8-week program starts March 10th. You can register for SLAM Session 2 here. Swimmers must be able to swim 50-yards to participate.
